Customs |

The Customs
Authorities now stipulate that: A) All cargo on board a
vessel, with destination Colombia must be manifested. B)
The manifest (cargo/freight) together with freighted copies of
Bills of Lading must be given to Customs Authorities before
vessel's arrival. (24 HRS PRIOR TO) C) Cargo not covered
by manifest may not be discharged. If discharged ITwill be
immediately confiscated by Customs. |

Violations of the
aforementioned regulations can result in fines of up to 200
per cent. of the cargo value as determined by Customs
Authorities. Similar fines will be levied for discrepancies
found in the cargo manifest as well as for short-landed or
overlanded cargoes, in cases where fault lies with the Carrier
and no reasonable explanation is provided. When the
cargo/freight manifest does not comply with all the
requirements (as established by Customs Authorities) the
carrier will be fined .

Conditions
According to port
regulations, a vessel is considered arrived in port when she is 2
miles from following position: lat. 12 d. 17.5 m north and long. 71
D. 58.9 m west. Following approaching navigation charts must be
available onboard to be presented to local authorities upon arrival
Puerto Bolivar, in case is requested: 229 Bahia Portete ; 028
Barranquilla- Puerto Espada; 007 el Gran Caribe ; 002 North Coast
Colombia ; 040 Guajira Península.
No crew shore landing is
allowed, except master/chief engineer in special cases, due absence
of immigration office. No provisions, bunkers, shore crane or
water is available to vessels. Limited medical assistance is
available at the port. It is very important that master looks
very closely at deballasting time, considering that load rate may
average between 6.000 and 9.000 mt/hour, with peaks of up to 10,000
mt for panamax and cape size vessels. Should vessel delay loading, a
penalty for waiting may be imposed on vessel.

available one shiploader. |
