Customs |
|
Customs The
Customs Authorities now stipulate that: A) All cargo on
board a vessel, with destination Colombia must be manifested.
B) The manifest (cargo/freight) together with freighted
copies of Bills of Lading must be given to Customs Authorities
before vessel's arrival. (24 HRS PRIOR TO) C) Cargo not
covered by manifest may not be discharged. If discharged
ITwill be immediately confiscated by Customs. |

Violations of the
aforementioned regulations can result in fines of up to 200
per cent. of the cargo value as determined by Customs
Authorities. Similar fines will be levied for discrepancies
found in the cargo manifest as well as for short-landed or
overlanded cargoes, in cases where fault lies with the Carrier
and no reasonable explanation is provided. When the
cargo/freight manifest does not comply with all the
requirements (as established by Customs Authorities) the
carrier will be finedqqqqqq.

Entrance Any vessel, heading from north, north east, or
east should enter navigational channel with less than 3 nm in
distance from the river-mouth (Bocas de Ceniza) cutwater, they
should always approach pilot station by the west.

Harbour |
|
The port has
2 berths (depending on vessel LOA): 450 meter long pier
with an authorized draft of 30 feet in FRESH
water. | |

Pilotage
Pilotage and tugs are compulsory for all
ships of more than 200 tons. Both available on a 24 hour
basis.

pilot station abt 3 nm from the river mouth (Bocas de
Ceniza)
